WICKED

Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures for you today. I left my memory card in my laptop, and there was no internal memory left in my camera. But I still had an exciting day!

After class this morning (which was great, as always) Amber and I went to see In a Forest Dark and Deep. The main reason I wanted to see it was because Matthew Fox, the guy who played Jack in Lost, was in it, and I thought it would be cool to see him on stage. I was so wrong. Though his acting was good (I guess) the play was so crude and vulgar that I lost my respect for him. It's the type of show where the playwright wants you to be offended and does his best to offend everyone in the audience, and I don't think theatre should ever be approached that way. I wouldn't necessarily say I regret going, but I'm definitely not glad I went.

Luckily, I had better plans for the evening: WICKED!! Yes, this is the fifth time I've seen Wicked, and yes, Fiyero is so much sexier with a British accent!! I went with Amber again, and Phil and Delys (two of our teachers) were there as well, though they were to the side. Amber and I were sitting smack dab in the center of the stalls, the tickets that are usually 70 pounds. We got them for 27.50. I love being a student!!

Every time I see this show, my love of it grows deeper. It is seriously the most amazing show I have ever seen in my entire life. Amber, Delys, and Phil had all never seen it before, and I loved watching their reactions as the play went on. Amber was completely speechless when it ended, and even on the way home she didn't talk much. When she did, it was with haltered sentences, usually with a sigh or small squeal while we were talking about the show. It was so fantastic, and the perfect pick-me-up!

I have seen Wicked five times now, and I plan on seeing it again while I'm in London (the price is so great!) I will never, ever tire of this show. Watching it when I was thirteen literally changed my life, and so much has happened as a result. Aside from that, it's just a wonderful show to watch over and over again!
