Packing

In twenty-four hours, I will be at the airport, ready to board my first flight on my journey to London! I have two connections, but I'm even excited about the process of getting there! I will finally be in London at 6:25 AM on Wednesday morning (London time) and then the adventure will take off!

So I've been packing today. There's a lot that I'm not bringing--hair dryer, straightener, some of my haircare products, and other things--but there's also a lot that needs to be packed. I'm trying to pack my suitcase only about half to three-fourths of the way full so I can bring more home with me, but it seems like there's just so much that I need! For now, I've cut it down to the bare essentials, and am adding 'luxury' items later.

But packing is still always an issue when you're taking a trip, especially a longer one to a foreign country. There are some things I need that I'm going to buy over there (adapter, tube pass, etc.) but others that needed to be purchased here because of timing (my copy of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, for example). I'm constantly double checking my list, making sure I'm not forgetting anything (oh, that reminds me....) and weighing what things I need or just really want to have with me.

So if you guys were taking a trip like this, to anywhere in the world, what would be one thing you would not be able to leave home?
